The National Union of Teachers provides Health and Safety Information for the benefit of its members.
If you have concerns regarding health and safety issues in your school, that you feel are not being adequately addressed by the school management, then you can seek help and advice in several ways:
1. Contact your NUT school health and safety representative, if you have one, or your NUT school representative.
2. Contact your local adviser above who is available to give help and advice and can visit the school if necessary.
3. Search the very extensive Health & Safety section of the National NUT website by clicking on this button:-
If you have browsed the health and safety section of the National NUT site you will have noticed that we need health and safety reps. in schools to monitor that you, your colleagues and the children are working in an environment which is safe.
Training is available for school representatives both nationally (at Stoke Rochford) and locally in Cumbria. Courses in Cumbria are run by your local regional advisers. Click on the link below for details of past and future courses in Cumbria.
